Guess what.
I’ve finally updated my recipes page.
Surprise, huh? Ha ha!
Well I added the recipe for those Peanut Butter Apple Bars I made a while ago. I know it’s taken me so long to get that posted. The funny thing is I only posted it because I found where I had typed it all up and saved it – it just never made it online. Oppsie.
The other recipe I added was one I made for the first time last week. Before I say what it is I admit when I read about these cookies it sounded kind of gross. Thankfully they’re not. I’m talking about Fruit Cocktail Cookies. The reason I made these is because – like many other households – we always have a bunch of fruit cocktail and other random canned fruit that no one (other then myself) will touch. So that just means take the fruit and turn it into some kind of baked good and everyone will eat.
I have been using our huge collection of applesauce when I bake as an egg replacer – 1/4 cup per 1 egg. Even if you’re not vegan or trying a vegan diet, you should at least try replacing the egg in one cookie. It’s worth it!
The 27th when I’m doing all the baking for the Spread Love event, I’m going to use a applesauce as an egg replacer in some recipes and flaxseed in others.
At some point today or tomorrow I will be returning comments. I’m usually so good at returning comments but lately it’s just been crazy and I’ve had a hard time clearing my head to return comments. I really don’t like reading blogs when I have things running through my head because I end up getting half way through the blog and just giving up. Sorry everyone for being a bad comment returner lately! I swear, I’m going to get back to how I used to be.
Last night while randomly texting a friend I went through my DVDs. Which means I have 30 DVDs I’m getting rid of. Either I never have watched them & never will or I watched them once and that’s enough for me. Most of them I think are horror of action. I know! Such a shock to know I’m getting rid of horror films! No worries, they’re super crappy! ^_^ And when I say they’re super crappy and I don’t like them that’s just horrible considering my love for Experiment In Torture – which is a film I’m 100% sure they only used $3.99 to make. And yes, I do own that film. Ha ha.
I had to go out yesterday afternoon to get my phone paid for so it wouldn’t be cut off. I’m so bad at waiting until late minute to do things like that but at least I get them done, right? Anyways while I was out I finally took my bra back to the store I bought it. See I bought it in June and took it home. It laid in the bag over night and the next day I took it out to take the tags off and toss it in the wash. Well guess what…the security tag was still on it! With everything happening around the 4th I never had a chance to take it back to the store. So I finally did, which means I have a whole two bras I can wear! Okay I have three but one of them is the wrong size, even though I love it as much as I do.
Today, aside from the few updates on here, I paid WeAreHappeners.Com for another year. I had a feeling I would forget to do it by the time it was due, but hey I paid for it before it the due! It was due the 23rd but hey since I already have it paid now I don’t have to worry about it until next July. I did check all the other dates for when domains are due and thankfully the only one I have to worry about is at the end of the year. I can thank the holiday trivia Name Cheap does for that! I think that’s why I love Name Cheap – they’re not just ‘Give me your money’.
While I’m talking about domains I have 100% finished fixing up my photo blog (On-The-Streets.Net). It took me a while to finish it but at least it’s done. The problem was I kept up with doing the right categories and tags for a while, then just gave up. So I just need to keep up on doing that as I post so I don’t have to sit and go through all of them again like that. I am trying to get pictures while I’m in town on the weekends so I can post them – kind of as my own ‘farewell’ to the area.
Yes, I’m in town again this coming Friday and Saturday. One of the days I’m going to grab lunch with a friend I haven’t really seen in years, well it all depends on how busy he is. So we’ll see what really happens. Friday night is a show in Kent, but due to the time they have to leave I can’t go. I wanted to go just to see everyone pretty much for the last time. Bums me out. Saturday is going to be a toss up of what happens. I guess it just depends on what happens Friday. Either way though both days I’m going to Daily Grind to grab a tea – I’m going to miss that place so much.
The major toss up is if I’ll be in town on the 27th. I’m saying it’s a toss up because I have four dozen cookies to bake that day and I know I’ll have last minute items to pack. I’m just kind of feeling it out to see what happens. I know I could do all the baking Wednesday but I just don’t want the cookies to be hard and gross since they sat around until Saturday.
One good thing, my first application has been sent in. Roomie has been awesome with helping me look around – as well as Renee. Crossing my fingers to have a job lined up before I move. That will be so much easier on all my Pittsburgh friends who have been helping me out. I think I owe them all a drink!
This week though, when I have time, I’m working on a little playlist to give a few people around here. With a mixture of my favorite songs and “moving on” songs. I’m hoping to finish it this week, it’s just hard considering I’m trying to just do one song per artist. The main hard ones are Anti-Flag, The Clash and dear Dandelion Snow/Bluebird Midwest. It may take me longer then a week to finish this. Ha ha.
