Queen Mary

The weather is bumming me out. All it’s done today is rain off and on. I heard it’s suppose to do the same thing tomorrow. Ugh.

Yesterday my mom was on a cleaning mission in her bedroom. Mostly just putting holiday things in storage and getting summer bedding out. Nothing too major. I had gotten a hold of Pat shortly after I woke up to see if he was free and could shave my head. Thankfully he was free until 6 – which gave me time to get a shower and everything since we were just going to do it outside.

I had gotten my shower and was waiting for Pat when my mom gave me this picture.

My mom told me to look at the ship in the background. It’s the Queen Mary! For those of you who don’t know I have a huge interest in the huge ocean liners from the past. It first started in 3rd grade when we did a reading section on the Titanic. Anyways…my mom found this picture in a box of pictures that are from my grandma. Turns out she took this picture during some kind of trip she took to New York City in April of 1951. So far it’s been the only picture we’ve found that she took during that trip, so I’m on a major hunt for a frame so I can hang it up.

Pat did show up and shave my head. We just used the shortest setting on his clippers – which is basically stubble. I must say after all that hair was gone my head felt so much cooler. I’m just bummed over the fact that the weather has picked this time to cool off. Ha ha. I’m not that surprised though.

While on a major upload process on DeviantArt I was getting a pizza ready for the oven.

This pizza smelt AMAZING while in the oven. The sauce was a basic tomato sauce with onion, garlic and a few other spices. Then mushrooms, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, onions & tomato. Oh and a little cheese. It was one of those pizzas you know you shouldn’t eat it all at once but you want to so bad. ^_^

While I’m mentioning food, I’ve stopped eating a lot of the majorly processed foods! Which is a major deal since it seems everyone has some kind of over processed food during every meal/snack of the day. I know it’s so hard to stay away from processed foods so if you can’t completely take them out of your diet, at least take the time to read what you’re eating. It may open your eyes and make yourself think ‘I’m really eating that?!’ – Yes sadly I am one of those people you see standing in a store reading what’s in something. But I’m not one of those rude ones who stands where you can’t get around them and they’re just cut off from everything that’s going on around them. Vegans have to be very watching when it comes to labels anyways – animal products are everywhere.

Today is June 1st, which means it’s Roger’s (Dandelion Snow, Bluebird Midwest, White Wives) birthday! As normal I wished him a happy birthday, I drew him a little picture too…

He’s honestly one of the kindest souls I’ve ever had the great chance to meet. Last year I did a cupcake photo session and I thought this year doing something that took more time and more effort on my part would be better. And I must say, I adore this image. I’m waiting for a canvas so I can paint it onto a canvas.

Tonight I kept myself busy by finally burning the “Operation Torture” discs for Lori. I’m hoping to have her package in the mail by Monday or Tuesday. I think I have one more disc to burn for her though – I need to check. Tomorrow I’m hoping to completely finish the one thing I’ve been working on for her as well. Then it’s just finishing touches – placing it in the package so it’s all nice and pretty when she opens it. I just wish I had a box to put it in, I don’t so I have to place it all in an envelope.

I know this blog is just kind of every where – sometimes I am a bit scattered. I’m going to bed now though. Only because I haven’t been able to sleep through the night for a while.

Last night I fell asleep around 1am and woke up around 3am. Ugh. I hate when I do that. Then my mom woke me up around 8am because she was checking to see if there was any leaks in my ceiling since the last time they fixed it. Good news is: No leaks!
