It’s been a while, but this is my first blog entry at my new host Floriental.Org! I won’t get into why I changed hosts, but the most important thing is I’m very happy with my new host. As you can tell I’m still trying to get things together, I’ve kind of taken a break from working on getting the non-important things up. I’m just kind of taking my time when it comes to getting the small things up, which is okay with me.
I’ve been fighting a stupid cold all weekend – so my weekend was not fun. The first person to have this darn cold was my niece, then it just kind of worked its way to me. >_<
Saturday I did go out to a concert, it was fun until I got a headache. Metal music just really isn’t my kind of music but I went anyways for a few friends since they were the first ones playing. We didn’t stay for the whole show, which was okay by me. Ha ha. I just really want to go see a band I like. But with June coming quickly I’m not really able to.
That band, CityCop, has a few shows before June but the one I’m able to go to they had to drop out of! So this means I won’t get to see them until after June. It makes me kind of sad because I enjoy their music so much.
The Adicts show later this month is looking like I won’t be able to go to that either.
Aside from the concert problems, I’ve been working on things for the arts/crafts show at the end of the month. It’s 3 days so I’m making up a lot of stuff in hopes I sell most of the items. The major thing is I have a pretty good sized stretched canvas painting – I’m going to put $30 on it since it’s nice framed. I also have about 10 more bracelets to finish, 10 kitty bowties, 20 flower pins, 1 mini messenger bag, and about 5 hair pins.
I’ve also been using old windows and painting them. Right now I only have two done. One has yellow flowers and says welcome. The other has roses on it, I haven’t painted “welcome” on it yet. Tomorrow I’m going to try to at least start the lighthouse one I’m going to do. Then I have 3 more windows left to paint.
My idea is to have everything finished by the 23rd, which I’m sure I’ll be finished way before the 23rd. If I do get finished before the date, I’ll do a few extra things. I’m just hoping to have enough things made up and sell enough of the things for my trip in June. yes I’m still lacking major cash for the trip. I did add the link to the website where people can donate money toward helping me out.
It’s been a long day and I’m starting to feel it. So I think it’s about time for bed. Hell it is almost 2am.
Oh, so that’s why your site was down for maintenance earlier! I was worried that you were giving up on your site or something like that — I always get disappointed when I find awesome new bloggers only to have them vanish soon after my discovery. ;_;
But yessum, congrats on the new hostage! Hope it works out for you better than your last. ^^;
I hope you get over your cold soon! My family and I have been sick for the past couple days, too, which seriously sucks. Especially since my Dad acts as if he’s dying whenever he gets so much as a runny nose. Not even exaggerating! Oh boy.
I can’t wait to hear how the arts and crafts show goes for you! I used to go to those all the time to buy things and/or just browse. Always so much fun! Anime North has a section called the Artist’s Alley which is filled to the brim with handmade anime inspired things, so I’m excited about that!
