I’m a huge fan of the Child’s Play films and I admit I will keep seeing them for as long as they’re making them. With that said when I seen the first pictures from the film and seen that Chucky didn’t look like Chucky, I was worried the film was changing…well changing the main character anyways.
Chucky’s different look makes sense after I watched the film. I mean, who in their right mind would accept a doll that looks like Chucky.
Though mid-way through the film I didn’t understand the connection between Chucky and this family, nor did I understand how he wound up being mailed to them. The film does explain it all and wraps around to the start of it all – which was great. Most of the films later on in a series always seems to forget about that first film and how it all started out.
The end of the film did leave me wondering if in fact there will be more films following this one. My little Chucky loving heart hopes there is – but I also hope any following films connects to the others like this one did.
