Life Is A Cabaret

This is new to me…well the grape seed oil part is new to me. I thought it would be a little odd, but it wasn’t. I used it to make my favorite summertime dish – potato salad.

Yes, I love potato salad – well even all year. I do love pasta but when it comes to a macaroni salad I’d just rather have potato salad instead. I’ve always been like that…what can I say I really enjoy potatoes. Haha.

So Thursday through Saturday I was at this stupid art/craft event. One that involved setting up every morning and taking everything down every night. Since I’m the one doing all the carrying of everything, I’m in pain today. Oh and I was at the flea market yesterday – which was more of the same.

But where the Thursday through Saturday thing was it’s right in the middle of a strip mall so I get to just wonder around to all the stores while I’m there. I was super good and didn’t spend a lot of money. The only thing I really bought is something that I’m going to take with me to the convention. It’s a speaker for my MP3 player (or tablet). ^_^ I tried it out after I bought it and it has awesome sound.

While I was sitting there I also got a chance to do some work on my Tank Girl cosplay. The only thing I really have left to do is the shorts and shirt. I’m also considering ordering my ticket before the 11th because it’s cheaper. it’s only cheaper by $5, but that’s $5 I can put toward buying something at the convention.

Since everyone found out I’m going to be Tank Girl everyone is asking for pictures. ^_^ Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to ask someone to take loads of pictures before we go to the con.

Saturday afternoon we found these guys walking through the parking lot. So as usual I grabbed my camera to take some pictures of them. That turned into blocking traffic with another crafter so no one would run them over as they crossed a busy street.

The bad thing was they were headed for the parking lot of Wal-Mart – UGH. So we were still walking alongside them to make sure no one would hit them before they got through the parking lot and to the grass. They were also going away from the only water around.

Well a lady who had just got off work seen what we were doing. She said if we helped her catch the ducks she would take them to her house where we lives in a farm with a pond.

So we caught the ducks and they’re fine and far away from people who may run them over. ^_^

Yesterday at the flea market I did go a little crazy with buying things. I bought three movies, but the guy gave me a deal. So I got Demons, Demons 2, Blood Diner and Dead & Buried. I’m super excited to watch Blood Diner because I’ve had such a hard time finding it – and I only spent a little over $1.50 on it. ^_^

This week I’m not going to be doing much, especially today. I feel like complete crap. Thursday to Saturday I had to get up at 6:30 and yesterday I had to get up at 5:30. I’m not a morning person at all. I did sleep in today until around 10, but I’m really thinking I’m going to be taking a nap sometime soon.

  1. Aww those ducks are so cute. It’s so nice that you helped them to safety. I can imagine it would have been really hard for people to see them in a car so who knows what might have happened. Love the photo!
