Let’s talk about Comic Con!

I know, I know. It’s been so long since I’ve wrote or posted anything. Going on a vacation followed by moving, well that just made everything so hard to catch up on. I’ve also been working, it seems like all the time. Being on opening shift is kind of okay. I mean I get the rest of the day to do things, but it also means I have to go to bed crazy early because I get up at 4:10am.

Now, vacation was amazing. I went to Comic Con with my boyfriend and a couple friends. I just can’t wait to go again in a couple years. There are a lot of people, which is no surprise to anyone. I did have a panic attack while lost in the crowd one day when I didn’t go to the convention – I walked around the city instead.

This picture is taken from the bridge we walked across everyday during the convention. This was before it became super crazy. Most people visit on the convention Friday to Sunday.

Many of you have seen the tattoos I have on my thighs, especially if you follow me in instagram. I’ve never met the artist who did the original art for those tattoos, that was until comic con! This is me with the guy behind the amazing art. I was so excited to see him, and I also seen some new products and talked to him about the next tattoos I’ll be getting of his artwork. Seriously, go check out his artwork and buy some shirts.

On this day I didn’t go to the convention, due to the fact that I couldn’t get a ticket. So instead of just staying at the hotel all day long, I walked around the area near the convention center.

While walking around I found dairy free mango ice cream! There were chunks of fresh mango in it too. It was so amazing.

So I found an open air mall, which is the first one I’ve ever been to and it was great. On the floor level of the mall was an all natural market. I was lucky enough to find sushi made with brown rice. Since everyone was still at the convention, this was my lunch. Oh and for the sushi and water is was under $5. The best part is the sushi is made at a local restaurant. They bring fresh sushi to the store 4 times a day.

Our last day in San Diego, which we spent at the beach and wondering around the area called Ocean Beach. We had to catch our flight at 10pm, so we had a whole day to check the area out.

I always check out vegan places to eat while I’m on a trip. I just love being able to find a place where I don’t have to question what’s in the food. I was beyond excited when I began reading about Planet Power Fast Food! Vegan food in a fast food setting.

My boyfriend bought a burger with onions rings and bbq sauce. I bought a fish sandwich. We also bought chicken strips and mini corn dogs to share. It was so worth the wait to save this place for last! I wish there was a place like this closer to home. The food was amazing and the stuff was just as amazing.

  1. Wow, that would be intense working those hours and having to get up so early. It’s cool that you were able to go on vacation. 😀

Lots of great photographs! There must have been so much to see! I can imagine it might have been a little overwhelming sometimes too. I enjoy visiting beaches, the atmosphere can be very calming and peaceful.
