Friday night Ben & I took a roadtrip to Columbus. I’m not going to say why, but it was just a huge surprise of a trip.

This is the Longaberger Homestead. I remember seeing it when I was little, and when I was little it was SO huge. Well now since I’m an adult…it’s still huge.

The bummer part is on the way home we ended up getting a flat tire. So we had to pull over along the highway and let’s just say I was glad to get home. It was only suppose to be a four hour trip – in total. We left New Philly at 5:30pm and didn’t get home until midnight. 0_0 I told him next time he wants to go on a random trip to get something he’s on his own.

Saturday was just mainly bummer around town trying to find things to do. We didn’t really do anything fun.

I did stay the night with Ben Saturday night. I am worrying that it may have been a bit too soon. We’ve only been dating since the end of April. I did wait that long to give him a kiss. And he came to my place last night. He met my mom and both brothers.

I’m just wanting to stay as far away from rushing things as I can. I do like him a lot, I just don’t want to screw anything up.

Thursday we’re having Elizabeth’s birthday party. Her birthday is the 22nd though. I’m still making a cake but it’s not going to be the one I wanted to make. At least I’m not buying a cake.

Then starting Friday I’ll be busy at an arts/crafts thing – Friday to Monday. I’m really not looking forward to it since it’s outside. I’m just hoping the weather isn’t crappy. Last year it was in the 90s, this year it looks like it won’t be like that…if nothing else I hope it doesn’t rain.

My niece stayed Friday night and since I’m sleeping on the couch – my room still isn’t fixed – she thinks I have to wake up when she does. Which means she woke me up at 6am yesterday morning.

My brother was taking her with him to this tractor show/trade event. The city it’s held in usually has yard sales during it, so I went with them. It was so cold out – hardly 50 degrees! So there really wasn’t many yard sales but I did find a few. I took my niece with me to a couple. She’s the only one who ended up getting anything though. One yard sale had a lot of little girl clothing, I could have spent so much money there but I really didn’t want to get her alot of clothing. She did get herself a doll, a princess plate and a couple stuffed animals. I seen some jeans in my size but they wanted too much considering it’s a yard sale. ugh. Hopefully the weather turns around soon though so there will be more yard sales around where I live.

My boyfriend and a couple other friends were going to be going out of town yesterday but we got a late start so we didn’t go to all the places we wanted to.

First thing we went to grab food. We ended up going to this place I had been once before and loved it because they have a menu I can order from. Mulligan’s Pub does have a veg menu! We did go at a band time though, they were so packed and I guess one of the schools in Canton has having their prom that night so that really didn’t help anything. We were sitting at a weird table that was like in the middle of the walk way. Ugh.

I ordered the Vegie “Chicken” Parmigiano. I know the picture looks kind of like there’s an egg on the chicken, but there isn’t. They place a tomato on top of the “chicken”, cover it and cheese and melt the cheese! The only bad thing is, it’s so much food. I always end up needing a box for over half my food, totally worth it though.

After we ate we went to the mall. Which has a lot of stores compared to ours, but not many I enjoy. I did finally replace my captive ball nose ring. I bought four, so I have back ups if I misplace one. Ha ha! ^_^ And earlier in the morning I lost my black & white checkered bandana so I bought a red and black one.

Once we got back into town we went to the coffee shop for a bit to meet a friend who was going with us to see Iron Man 3 later that night. I ended up getting some wild cherry ice cream. I know ice cream is super bad for me and always makes me sick but I couldn’t help myself.

Iron Man 3, loved it. But the ending made me sad. What can I say, I’m weird.

We sat at the coffee shop for a bit then we went to the mall and Wal-Mart because there was nothing better to do.

I bought this set of skull rings for $1! They’re the rings you can stack too – oh and they’re the kind that you can make fit nearly any sized finger. ^_^

I also found these leggings for $1 each. ^_^ Everyone knows I love cherries so I had to grab the cherry printed ones. WhenI got home though I seen the yellow ones are a M/L! But I think I’ll be able to make them work…or I hope I can. If not I’m sure I can find a friend who can wear them. I really wantto wear them with this skirt I’m working on.

New belt! Yep, $1! ^_^ I may have to poke an extra hole in it because there’s not really one where I need it to be, but poking holes in belts are totally easy. The one I wear all the time now is just falling apart.

The only other $1 item I bought was this great bow necklace. I’m sure I’ll wear it during the weekend at some point.

At Wal-Mart I found these super skinny jeans for $5, so I gave in and picked them up. Plus they’re a fun blue color. ^_^ I really can’t wait to wear them…pretty sure I will Saturday since it’s suppose to rain.

When we left Wal-Mart my boyfriend bought these. 12 cupcakes to make up for the birthdays I didn’t have a birthday cake. Ha ha.

After wal-mart we went to the skate park. No one else was there. We just kind of bummed around for a bit, looking at the park and everything.

As I mentioned earlier, I am working on some new skirts. The one I’m really wanted to finish before the weekend is a mini skirt covered with a see-through fabric. The mini skirt part is dark blue and the see-through part is this printed blue, green and white fabric. The bad part right now is the fact that my sewing machine is being stupid again. The only thing left to do is to take it apart and just clean it as best as possible. My aunt will let me use her machine, and my mom will let me use hers…but it’s kind of like using someones computer – you’re used to your own.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the news that last night they found three women who had been missing for YEARS. [CNN LINK] The two who had went missing when they were teens, I remember watching the news stories when they went missing. The one hero of it all is Charles Ramsey – the man who seen Amanda trying to get out of the house and went to help. I’ve seen him on the news a lot, and he’s saying he’s not a hero. He is though. If it wasn’t for him these three women would still be missing and who knows what would have happened to them. One of them did had a child while being held in the house, and some reports of another woman being there one day but gone the next. The FBI are going through the house to make sure they don’t miss anything, I’m just hoping they don’t find anything else. Even though there is a horrible story here, in the end there is joy because all of the women are with their families.

I took the picture above Saturday while I was outside with my niece. What can I say, she enjoys taking those dandelions apart. I showed her if she blows on them they fly apart, but she doesn’t unerstand she has to blow out of her mouth, she blows out of her nose. So I guess she just gave up and started taking them apart with her hands. Which hey, that works too.

Yesterday was just a huge part of the day being outside enjoying the weather because I guess this weekend is suppose to be horrible weather. What I mean by that is…RAIN. Ugh.

My boyfriend and I had planned to go to the drive in to see Iron Man 3. So since it’s going to rain we’re just thinking about going somewhere else to see it. Which is okay because the cheap place has it and it’s only around $4 for a ticket. No clue how they got the movie, but at least I don’t have to go out of town to see it. But at this place for a ticket, drink & popcorn you’re onloy spending aorund $10 – at Regal $10 would only get you a ticket and maybe a candy bar.

Aside from the change in where we’re going to see the movie our other plans are still standing. Going to a nice little place that sells some pub food. And a new craft store is in Canton so I can’t wait to go there. I am working on a circle skirt and a half apron for a friend as gifts so I’m going to keep my eye out for trims and such that I could use.

Today I did cut myself out a circle skirt. I didn’t get very far though because my sewing machine was just being a pain in the butt. I’m hoping it gets through it’s problems. Ha ha. I have been considering getting a new one for Christmas though and I do plan on sticking to the Brother brand. Hopefully it will work out though, I really wanted to finish this skirt so I can wear it Friday.

Last week I did go to the place I got my nose pierced and they were closed. The reason I was going there was to get my belly button pierced. I was so bummed out, but I plan on going back later this week when they’re open. It’s under $40 to get it done – around $35. I have the money ready and can’t wait to get it done.

She also ended up getting a hula hoop. She doesn’t understand how to use the hula hoop, but it’s funny when she tries. ^_^

Friday night a friend took me out for frozen yogurt. I ended up eating way too much. After that we went to hookah – where I found out they have wifi! ^_^ Which is so awesome! So now as long as I  have the netbook charged and with me I’ll have something to do.

Saturday was a day trip to Canton and some random shopping.

One of the stores we stopped at was the health food store that sells a lot of vegan goodies. So I ended up getting some baked lentil chips – yum!! I also picked up vegan bouillon cubes for soup. Also stopped at the Asian market.

I did finally find a garter belt that fits me! Well it fits me around my waist, but the straps are still too long even at the shortest. It kind of sucks but I’ll be able to fix it. I just need to find some place that sells stockings for us short people.

Lately I have started using the “hanky code” and wearing a bandana around one belt loop. I’m only wearing one right now, but I am going to get a couple more to wear. Right now I’m just wearing a black & white checkered bandana. This one means safe sex. The code does depend on which pocket (or side) you have the bandana.

New hair color! I got the dye sooner then I thought I would so I spent today dying my hair – it was all rainy outside anyways. ^_^ I had to leave the stripper on my hair for 90 minutes! So I had to sit with a cap on my head for 90 minutes…it was the weirdest 90 minutes of my life. But the yellow dye I only had to leave on for 15 minutes since I had zero color left in my hair anyways. After all the hair dying was finished I ended up getting the sizes shaved down and even little bit taken off. ^_^ I feel like summer…but my mom calls me little bird now.

While I was out last night getting dye I did see this stuff called “Hair Chalk”, I’m just wondering if anyone else has seen it or even tried it. I’m just wondering how easily it comes down out of hair. I know that cheap spray in hair coloring sometimes takes a lot of washing and such to get it out.

Anyways I did find a new store in the mall up in Canton. It’s a popcorn store! Yes, popcorn. It kind of reminded me of the popcorn counter at the movie theater we used to have. Bins of popcorn, then some special flavors already in bags. I ended up getting a bag of honey mustard…then I got a belly ache once I got home because I ate way too much of it. ^_^ Well worth it though. Next time I’m going to grab a bag of caramel corn though, just to see how good it is.

They have a shoe store in their mall that is all kids sized shoes, which is awesome. Well I’ve been looking for a basic solid black canvas shoe – so hard to find around where I live for some reason. This store has them but they’re nearly $40! I’m sorry, that’s way too much for me. So this leads me to hoping I can find them online somewhere for so much cheaper.

I also went into the tea shop for the first time. I knew it was always there, I just never went in. Well the friend I was with I guess goes in there a lot and buys teas from there. I can’t wait to go back when I’m not sick so I can taste and maybe buy something. ^_^

We also went to the used media (CDs/DVDs/Records/Video Games) shop. I found a movie I had been looking for…for so long. I finally have a copy of Turner And Hooch (1989)! Growing up I loved the movie…and well I still love it. ^_^ I tried watching it this morning but I ended up falling asleep. I didn’t sleep that great last night, though I did try going to bed earlier then I had been.

As far as this stupid cold goes, I still have a runny nose and am dealing with a bit of a cough. At least I’m not as bad as I used to to be.

There’s a show tomorrow and since I won’t be going to it – no messages from friends about it – I’m considering going into town so I can spend this $10 gift card. My goal is to use it toward a new swimsuit – I haven’t bought one in like 6 years. But I’m also looking for a garter belt. I don’t have one and I have my first set of stockings – I feel grown up! Ha ha! So it’s kind of something that I really do need, I mean a new swimsuit is a nice thing but being able to wear stockings is a lot better as far as I can see it. I mean I never wear a skirt without something covering my legs. These stockings are like fishnets though – which should be zero surprise to people who knows me.

So I realized the blog I wrote last night was kind of pointless and I honestly felt bad about putting it out there. Why? Well it was just a very quick type up because I wasn’t really feeling that awesome and just felt like I NEEDED to post something so people didn’t think I gave up on my blog. But if you follow me on twitter I think my tweets have been explaining why I didn’t feel that awesome. I’ve been dealing with one of those great change of the seasons colds. =_= Which means I’ve been doing a lot of sleeping. I guess the good thing is the fact that I think I’m finally nearing the end of it. I still have a cough and I can still feel a little in my chest, but aside from that I’m good.

As the pictures explained in the last post my niece was here on the 18th. It was so warm – but windy – so we went to the small local park I live near. There really isn’t much there to play on – especially for the little kids. But they have slides. haha. The first slide was one of those small yellow plastic slides. Well I went up onto the wooden thing it’s hooked to but I didn’t slide down with her. My mom was at the bottom of the slide and well…had to grab her by the arm because she went flying down the slide and there was a small mud puddle at the bottom, and well I just slide down too…I flew down it too. 0_0 I don’t remember slides being that fast when I was little.

Then she seen the large metal slide. I followed her up and this time I went down with her between my legs. The bummer part was the fact that kids had climbed up the slide with mud on their feet so we only got – maybe – half way down before we just stopped because of the mud. But I was kind of happy for that because there was mud at the bottom. She went found the last slide and had to go down it three times.

The trip to the park ended with some swinging.

After that we went to the small ice cream place that’s just up the road from where I live. I got ice cream even though I know it’s horrible for me. Since it was hot the ice cream was just melting so fast and the wind wasn’t helping – the ice cream really wasn’t melting THAT fast, it was just the fact that went it did start to melt the wind was blowing the little bits of melted ice cream every where.

Friday (the 19th) I had started to feel a little yucky, my nose was starting to become runny. I just figured it was because of the wind the day before. My niece had stayed the night so she went to the store with us in the morning. One of the stores was having some random things marked down to like $1 – getting rid of the old I guess. So she got herself a little brown & purple purse with a peace sign on it. They even had small socks – like 3 pairs for around $3. I ended up getting a strapless bra for $1! Okay I honestly don’t know when I will use a strapless bra, but the one I did have I broke.

When we were getting near the checkouts I seen some random clothing on clearance. Mostly everything that would fit me was marked $3 – it was mostly girls clothing. I found a pair of leopard print jeans so I had to buy them. Well at the checkout they were only $1! If I would have known that I would have bought the other pair that fit me! Oh well, two pairs of leopard print jeans is enough…right?

That afternoon I started making this thing called a banana split cake – it’s not really a cake. The crust is a basic graham cracker crust – super easy to make. Once that has cooled you put a butter cream frosting all over that. Top that with a layer of crushed pineapple and sliced banana. The last thing is topping it all with whipped topping! I admit the pineapple in the mixture kind of threw me off – but it tastes good! I guess I made it because I’m thinking so much of summer weather, and when I found the recipe it did make me think of summer.

While I was getting ready to add the whipped topping I got a text from a friend saying he was there to pick me up. It was kind of news to me because I was in a hoodie and pj pants! So I had to rush to finish this cake up. Which I ended up using my hands to spread the whipped topping. ^_^ I threw on jeans and left.

As usual we started the night at the coffee shop. Where I found out their wifi wasn’t working. Then we ended up going to the hookah place in Canton. I made myself a little bed on the couch there and just laid there for the most part. That was until this super cute dude came in. It looked like he had his hair cut for a pomp but didn’t have it styled as a pomp. ^_^ Well anyways HOT. I’m pretty sure he seen me watching him too. Opps.

Saturday – as usual – started the coffee shop and ended with us bowling again and playing a game of pool.

My goal for this week is to just relax and try to get over this dang cold before the weekend. I know I’m a major buzz kill when I’m sitting there coughing myself to death.

And since I’m going to con in June I have been trying to work on my Little Red Riding Hood costume. ^_^ I have the skirt 100% finished! The top on the other hand is still only about 50% finished – I still have to put the button holes in the back of it and lace it up. I haven’t really started on the cape though, I’ve been looking through all the red fabric I own to figure out how I can pull it off since I need the cape to be longer then I thought – the skirt is a little short so if the cape is a little longer I won’t feel weird about it. ^_^ I’ve also started on making a couple felt muffins for my basket.

My other costume is totally finished – skirt & top. ^_^

We’re only going for one day but I’m taking two just because I don’t know what I’ll feel like wearing.

It’s crazy to think con is coming up so quickly considering it’s not until June! Then a couple weeks after con I’ll be in Pittsburgh for my birthday. ^_^ I can’t fucking wait! Plus I think I already have my outfit picked out – my red plaid skirt, black fishnets, red & black socks, boots & The Adicts t-shirt. Or I could do the black skirt and black & white socks instead. That’s all if the weather is good…but considering it will be June I’ll only have to worry about rain. So if it’s not suppose to rain my mohawk will be up. ^_^

Talking about mohawk…I did dye it but you can’t really tell a difference. >_< I bought this “ultra blonde” dye and well it didn’t even lighten my natural colored hair much at all. And now my red hair is now an odd hot pink color. But Saturday I’m suppose to go to Canton with a friend and I’m getting a real bleaching kit & new dye – hoping to find yellow.

Today my main project was getting patches of fabric together for a patchwork skirt I’m going to work on from time to time within the next couple months. I seen a skirt like it in a catalog but I’m not willing to spend $30 (plus shipping) on a skirt. So fingers crossed I’ll be able to make mine look like it – or better. ^_^

On the 18th my niece was here to stay two nights. The 18th was SO warm and nice – aside from the wind so we went to the park for the first time this year.

After the park we went to get ice cream. Which was kind of a mistake mostly because of the wind. So whenever the ice cream would start melting the wind would blow it on you.

In other news I finally have something in the works for my birthday! I know my birthday isn’t until June but I like to plan ahead. ^_^ A friend and I are going the Saturday before my birthday to the city I love – PITTSBURGH! We’re going to have lunch at my favorite place – Double Wide Grill. And stopping at the coffee shop later for munchies. There’s a shop that sells loads of Hello Kitty (and such) items I want to stop at so I can do some early Christmas shopping for my niece. I’m also looking up at least one good clothing shop that I’ll at least be able to get a little dress from. We’ll be spending most of the trip southside, as always. ^_^

To end the trip – okay more then likely it will happen after lunch – I’m getting ink done in PGH. Not 100% sure what, but I do want it to be tied to PGH in some way. So I was really thinking about getting my molotov cocktail tattoo done there – AF records released a sampler in early 2000 that has a molotov cocktail on the cover. ^_^

I started on my vest last week and I’ve finally finished sewing the patches on. Well I mean I finished sewing the patches on that I have finished. I still have a couple patches left to paint. What can I say, I’m completely stoked to wear it.

The jacket I bought to turn into my vest was an adult large, so it’s big. Well vests are suppose to be big, they’re not suppose to be fitted.

This morning I sat and cut out the stencil for one patch and I haven’t cut out the last stencil yet. I don’t really like doing it at my desk since I don’t have any light, so I’ve been doing it at the kitchen table when everyone else is in bed. ^_^

And yes, I’m finally back at my desk. It feels kind of weird since I haven’t used my tower since early January. If you remember the graphics card went out on it in early January. Well it went to my computer guy and I got it back the same week…I was just lazy and didn’t hook it back up until yesterday. Why am I back at my desk? The most bummer reason – the cable on my laptop charger broke in two. I’m not sure what happened I just know it was working one day and then later that night I went to plug my laptop in (the battery is shot) and I had nothing…ugh. The to make the situation suck even more – I have files on my laptop I need! I won’t be able to get the files until I get a new charger – which costs around $30. >_<

Earlier this week though the weather was AWESOME! Everything is coming out in bloom…just in time for a chance of a rain snow mix Sunday. I’m not joking. We went from 80 degrees and thunderstorms to the chance of rain snow mix. I’m ready for spring! I’m ready for road trips!

While the weather was great Tuesday I took the chance to go outside and take some pictures of the pretty greens. The battery in my new camera died though so instead of waiting for it to charge I grabbed my old camera and took it outside to get some shots. And I realized how much I love that camera too. So I’m going to make a case for it and start carrying it with me again. Yes, I always have a camera with me so now I’ll always have two cameras with me. ^_^

I’m sure after this coming weekend is over I’ll have a few pictures to share. Saturday a group of friends are going bowling! Yes, I’m excited to go bowling – I love it even though I haven’t done it in a while. I am kind of bummed because I can’t find my shoes. What can I say, the thought of sharing shoes with someone just grosses me out but since I can’t find mine I guess I’ll have to stick it out. Though I am going to look into buying a new pair. I’m going to look around online then to go one of the local sports places to see what their prices are. When I bought my shoes around 5 years ago I spent $25 on them. I’m hoping since bowling is kind of a winter sport I’ll be able to find a great sale.

And I’m 90% sure I’m going to put my mohawk up for bowling! I mean, why not! I’m sure it will make for some great pictures too. ^_^ I might even wear my vest for the first time.

Thanks to the rain and thunderstorms though I have to sleep on the couch. As soon as it started raining outside, it started raining on my bed. It’s still raining on my bed. I hate sleeping on the couch though because the dogs always think that means I want them to sleep with me and I really don’t. I kept waking up last night because Oliver kept getting on the couch and laying on my feet. =_= I hope tonight if different though. I haven’t been able to sleep all week so it would just be nice to sleep for once this week.
